Five years ago, I was diagnosed with stage 3C endometrial cancer at 36 years old. Genetic testing (due to my young age) revealed that I have Lynch Syndrome. The following year, after healing from my hysterectomy and completing radiation and chemotherapy, I was diagnosed with colon cancer. Surgery took care of that one, and within six months I was going through radiation and Mohs surgery for skin cancer. I've had about 3 years of respite, and after my most recent colonoscopy, I got news that I have another colon cancer diagnosis. It's early yet, still waiting to get scans and meet my new oncologists, but I'm ready to hit this one head-on just like the others.
